Terms of service
Last updated 9 September 2026
These terms cover your use of e1NET, what the platform provides, and the limits of what its output means.
Draft pending legal review. This document describes how e1NET currently operates and has not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal adviser. It is published for transparency, not as a binding agreement. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, please contact us and we will confirm it in writing.
Using e1NET
You may use e1NET to assess your own organisation, or an organisation you are authorised to act for. You are responsible for the accuracy of the evidence you upload and for keeping your account credentials secure.
You must not upload material you do not have the right to share, attempt to access another organisation’s workspace, or use the platform to break the law.
What e1NET is not
e1NET is not a certification body and does not certify your organisation. The platform produces a self-assessed readiness position based on the evidence you provide.
- Cyber Essentials certification is issued by IASME and its accredited certification bodies, not by e1NET.
- ISO 27001 certification is issued by accredited registrars, not by e1NET.
- A readiness score, a report, or any statement generated by e1NET is not evidence of certification and must not be presented as one.
e1NET does not provide legal advice. Whether a particular regulation applies to your organisation is a decision for you and your advisers.
How your score is produced
Your readiness position is calculated from the evidence you have uploaded and the frameworks you have enabled. It is always shown together with how much of the assessment is complete, so a high score against a small proportion of controls is never presented as overall readiness.
Assessments are drafted automatically and are only as good as the evidence behind them. Every finding stays linked to the document it came from so you can check it, and you should treat the output as a starting point for your own judgement rather than a final determination.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us permission to process it only so far as is needed to run the service for you, which includes extracting text and assessing it against the frameworks you have chosen. See our privacy notice for how that works in practice.
Availability
We work to keep e1NET available and accurate, but we do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment. If you need one, please talk to us rather than assume it.
Ending your use
You can stop using e1NET at any time. We may suspend an account that is being used in breach of these terms, and will tell you why where we are able to.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Continuing to use e1NET after a change means you accept the updated terms.
